Operator Notes:

Another excellent weapon from SIG-Sauer, a company famous for their reliability and accuracy. It is a nice large frame high capacity weapon. The P226 competed in the US Army trials for the new standard handgun to replace the M1911A1. Though the SIG pistol was beaten by the Beretta 92 it is still an outstanding weapon. This SIG doesn't have an applied safety and the first round is double action with the rest being single action. A decocker allows the operator to go back into double action mode when the threat level is down. More US law enforcement organizations use SIG pistols, particularly this model, than any other high capacity handgun, and for good reason. They are dependable, easy to use, highly accurate, utterly reliable and extremely tough.
