Operator Notes

A very reliable high capacity handgun. It has proven very popular with police departments all through the United States. The Glock pistol does not have an applied safety. It is as easy to work as a revolver but without the longer trigger pull. It is not quite a double action but neither is it a single action. Cycling a round half cocks the firing pin while pulling the trigger cocks it the rest of the way and releases it. This action is called by Glock, 'Safe Action.' A very accurate pistol that invariably feeds any type of 9mm ammunition. The Glock pistol has been produced in many frame sizes and calibers. The Glock 17 is the first and the original. Though the Glock pistol makes extensive use of polymers it is not invisible to x-ray equipment. Barrel and slide are all made out of steel. It looks like what it is on the airport x-ray monitors - a handgun.
