Operator Notes:

Without a doubt, the most reliable assault rifle in the world. It's ability to continue to fire when filthy and caked with dirt is legendary. It is also the most prolific weapon in the world today. Numerous communist and former communist countries manufacture their version of this weapon. It is perhaps the most copied weapon in the world today. It's accuracy potential is not as high as an M16 and that is because it's tolerances are not as demanding. But, this is the very thing that makes it so reliable. For 90% of your engagement ranges, the AK series will perform well. In 1959 an improved version, the AKM was produced. In the 1980s, a third iteration, the AK-74, chambered in a new Russian 5.45mm x 39mm was produced. The modern Russian Army is fielding this weapon but there are still hundreds of thousands of older AK weapons to be found in the third world.
